What is Africa Gathering all about?
Africa Gathering provides a much needed space for anyone interested in a strong and prosperous Africa to come and share ideas for positive change. With a focus on the great things we can achieve if we work together, we bring together some of the most inspirational speakers, business people, entrepreneurs, invemtors, dreamers and thinkers so that we can all make new contacts, build better communities and imagine a better world.
How Africa Gathering works:
Africa Gathering works by providing you with a place to come and mingle with some of the most creative people who are involved with technology and Africa. Any money we raised that isn’t used to cover the costs of the event will be handed to a project chosen by our sponsors and the Africa Gathering team so that we can all help support ideas that make the world a better place. Projects that get awarded money will come back to Africa Gathering in the future to show us their work in action. Here’s a handy diagram that explains it perfectly. The last person to win the £5000 prize package was Kevin Allen – a man who has dedicated his life to feeding children in Zululand, RSA.
Remember, Africa Gathering is meant to be fun – everyone who’s interested is welcome to attend and take part. It’ll be as good as you make it – which we hope will be very good!
